In March 2021, Streamline Services started Top Tech University to educate and develop skilled technicians. Top Tech University provides individuals with the opportunity to learn the trades and create a rewarding career. We invite you to join our team and become an important part of our success!
Top Tech University is now an approved Apprentice Training program with the North Carolina Community College System and ApprenticeshipNC. Top Tech University provides individuals with the opportunity to learn the trades and create a rewarding career. OUR TRAINING PROGRAM
The high level of technical training and customer service that our team provides to clients requires true commitment to learn our unique service system and develop technical expertise. During 12 weeks of training, you will learn an array of skills as you complete the NexTech Academy program and work with your trainers. They will teach you many skills as you work toward successfully becoming an independent service professional. And you will enjoy the camaraderie of the team and have some fun along the way!
TopTech University is comprised of three components:
Technical & Customer Service Training
NexTech Academy guides students through a variety of reading and writing assignments, hands-on skills assessments, and interactive exercises to gain technical expertise specific to their trade. Customer service training (based on the Nexstar Service System) ensures new technicians are confident and ready to interact with homeowners.
Hands-on Lab Training
Within a controlled lab setting, the Streamline trainers will direct hands-on training to teach repair and replacement techniques. Developing a critical understanding of the home services systems is made easier by training in a lab built like a real home.
Ride-Alongs
You will benefit from working with independent service professionals as they go to customer appointments and take care of clients’ needs. They will teach you what they have learned from their expertise and experiences. You will observe, participate, and have time to ask questions as travel between jobs or back to the shop.
Graduation
Once you complete the program, your hard work will be celebrated with a graduation ceremony. Company leaders and the Top Tech trainers will be on hand to congratulate you. Certificates of graduation and special recognitions for academic excellence are awarded to our graduates.
Continuing Education
After graduation, you will be assigned a mentor trainer who will help you build your technical skills as well as provide feedback as you utilize the service system. You will practice communicating with dispatch and logistics, create estimates and invoices, collect payments, and help customers with financing. Streamline also offers weekly operational, service and safety training to keep building your skills.
